How Do I Choose A Group?
As you are thinking of joining a small group, here are some things to keep in mind:
- As you are thinking about a group, don't simply look for people just like you. The fact is, you will benefit from grouping with people who are not necessarily in your stage of life. The goal is not to find a group where everyone likes the same thing, but rather a group where you develop a heart for each other, learn from your differences, and develop relationships with your neighbors.
- Our ideal is to have groups start in the neighborhood where you live. Not only does this cut down on your driving time, but it has great potential to bring "community" to the community where you are. Imagine if you just had to walk across the street to engage in meaningful community!
- We do have some groups who are ready to go, but if none of these groups are in your neighborhood, please let the Small Groups Team know -- there is a good possibility a new one can get started close to where you live.
- Stop by the Small Groups counter (in the hallway) on a Sunday for more information, or email smallgroups@sunridge.org
