I was confirmed at age 13 and so always believed I knew Jesus. The problem was I didn’t know anyone whose life revolved around walking with Jesus. I, therefore, tended to rely heavily on my own efforts for success. In 1993, I hired a 19 year old girl. In the 5 years that she worked with me it was very clear that Jesus was intimately involved in every detail of her life. Through Marilyn, I came to know what relying on Jesus means. It means a sense of peace when overwhelmed and total trust that His plan will always be better than what I see. (Val)
