MIKE KLASSEN – LEAD PASTOR

Mike has been the Lead Pastor at SunRidge since it started in 1997. Along with his wife Teresa and their four children Mike has been blessed to lead and guide SunRidge to where it is today. Mike holds a Masters degree in Divinity and is currently working on his Doctorate in Pastoral Ministry. His greatest passion in life is seeing the local church come alive through people discovering why they were born and understanding the transforming power of Jesus in their lives. Mike smiles the biggest when the conversation turns towards Harley’s, Water Skiing, or just about anything else that involves going really fast.

BRIAN HAWKINS – STUDENT MINISTRIES PASTOR

Brian has been the Student Ministries Pastor at SunRidge since June 2007. At the core of his ministry is a belief that God will use the up and coming generations to revive His church and change the world for Jesus Christ. At SunRidge Brian serves alongside a team to bring oversight to the Sunland Children’s Program, SunRidge Student Ministries, and SunRidge Young Adults, so if you have a child Brian is the person to talk to. Brian was married to Chelsey in October of 2011, probably the best decision of his life….and the most questionable one of hers. When Brian isn’t working with the students of SunRidge, he can usually be found cheering for the Edmonton Oilers, or as he calls them “the greatest assembly of athletes in the history of professional sport.”

ERIN MACINTOSH – ADMINISTRATION

Erin is the smiling face that has been greeting everyone who walks through our doors since September of 2007. Erin has the superhuman ability to keep Mike and Brian organized while also providing administrative oversight to everything that goes on at SunRidge. In addition to her administrative work, Erin also works with our Out Of School Care program.

KELSEY CLARKE – OUT OF SCHOOL CARE DIRECTOR

Kelsey has been on staff at SunRidge since April of 2009. Her passion is to see children experience the truth of Jesus Christ through an innovative presentation and loving relationships. Kelsey joined our staff as the Sunland Intern in the Spring of 2009 after returning from a Discipleship Training School with YWAM in Perth, Australia. She has now taken on the role of director of our Out of School Care Program.

SARAH GERBER – ADMINISTRATIVE MEDIA COORDINATOR

Sarah Gerber has been attending and volunteering at SunRidge since the summer of 2008. As a trained graphic designer with a passion for brand management and creative marketing we were happy to have her join our team in April 2011. Sarah loves using her creative skills to help connect people into the church, inform and engage people in our church programs and help define SunRidge as a growing, thriving church body.

KYLE DYCK – STUDENT MINISTRIES INTERN

Kyle has been the Children’s Ministry Intern since October 2010. He loves children and all of their energy! Filled with a preposterous amount of energy himself, he is able to become like a child and love on them. Kyle’s internship at SunRidge has sparked a sense of a call to ministry in his life which is continually growing. He finds great joy in loving and caring for the people of SunRidge and the community. Kyle loves cars, water sports, eating and being tall.

MARLEE ROED – STUDENT MINISTRIES INTERN

Marlee Roed joined our team September 2011 as our High School Student Ministries Intern. Marlee has always had a passion for students and their valuable and often underestimated potential. This internship is helping her explore and grow in a calling to work with youth all over the world. She enjoys dancing, singing loudly in the car (with or without people), travel and exploring.

BRITTANY JUDAS – WORSHIP MINISTRY INTERN

Brittany has been the Worship Ministry Intern since September 2010. She has always had a passion for music and served in churches for many years. SunRidge has provided a great opportunity for her to expand and grow in her love for worship ministry. Her fresh perspective and new ideas are a great asset to our SunRidge team. Brittany loves to snowboard, go on adventures, play the piano and laugh lots.

ALECIA KLASSEN – SUNLAND CHILDREN‘S MINISTRY INTERN

Alecia Klassen has been attending Sunridge since its start many years ago and has been on staff as the SunLand Children’s Ministry Intern since December of 2011. She has been apart of Sunland for the good majority of her time at Sunridge and is now excited to dive into the ministry on a deeper and more involved level while exploring and including her creative and artistic passions. Alecia loves kids and loves the idea of teaching them about what is most important to her, a relationship with Jesus Christ. Alecia enjoys anything artistic, traveling, sports and wandering.

MINDY AASERUD – BOOKKEEPER

Mindy has been attending SunRidge since 2005 with her husband Magnus. Both of these two have been instrumental in making sure that all the details of running a Church are taken care of – especially since Mike and Brian aren’t exactly superstars in this area. Magnus and Mindy were married in 2001 and together have two amazing children. If you have any questions regarding anything to do with the Church financials, or Charitable Donation receipts – Mindy is the person to talk to. If you have any questions regarding Norway – Magnus is the person to talk to. Two more fun facts about Mindy: her favourite colour is Green, and she loves “Squeeky Cheese.”
