What is a Worship Team?

A Worship Team is a group of musicians/artists/speakers who function in unity under the direction of the Holy Spirit to lead a church in response to the initiating work of God in their midst. At SunRidge this occurs primarily through use of the arts (music etc..) to create a culture of response among the people.

How important is a Worship Ministry?

Worship Ministry is an essential facet of the work of any Church. A Church without worship is simply a crowd, and those who would call the crowd to respond to God’s initiating work are serving in a crucial part of the Church.

What will we do?

The worship teams provide leadership in our Sunday gatherings, including service development, song selection, appropriate prayers and words of encouragement. In order to be best prepared for this very important role, the worship teams may meet mid week (typically Thursday) for a rehearsal, as well as Sunday morning for a run-through and sound check.

In addition to this there will be quarterly meetings of the worship team as a whole to discuss ministry philosophy, culture, and to share feedback on any observations we have made as we serve.
