If you’ve been around SunRidge a while you may have noticed some of our design has changed! We’ve got a new website and a revised logo! Take a read through this page to discover some of the story.
“Sun”
As Christ followers were called to be light, shining joy, peace, and the love of God wherever we go!
Matthew 5:14-16 “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”
“Ridge”
Life is not a big, wide, easy path. It’s a climb up. It requires balance. This so describes our walk as a Christ follower; being on guard, choosing the hard but right path.
Matthew 7:14 “But the gateway to life is very narrow and the road is difficult, and only a few ever find it.”
Did you know…
Over the years SunRidge has had several logo versions. However, all of them, since the beginning over 20 years ago, have been a combination of a serif and sans-serif font.
What are these fonts you might be wondering? A serif is a little wing you see on a letter so a sans serif letter doesn’t have those little wings. For example, the letters “Did you know” beside this paragraph are sans-serif.
Why mention? We just think it’s cool that our little SunRidge logo has had this consistent element throughout the two decades we’ve been around.
Why change?
This past year has been a year of change! All the curve-balls COVID-19 has thrown at the world and us has taught us new things, and made us try new ideas.
Practically, with so much emphasis being put on online resources through the pandemic, we realized we needed some new capabilities with out website, so we rebuilt it.
The pandemic has also made us dig deep as a community, and hold tight to values we share as a church. We wanted to start the Fall with a fresh symbol built on things we love!
