Baptism
An Outward Sign of an Inward Commitment
What is baptism?
Baptism is a celebration of your decision to say YES Jesus. It's saying to those around you that you...
Admit your sin
Believe that HE has paid for your sin on the cross, and you
Choose to follow HIS leading in your life

Baptism Stories
Then the angel spoke to the women. “Don’t be afraid!” he said. “I know you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He isn’t here! He is risen from the dead, just as he said would happen. Come, see where his body was lying.
Matthew 28:5-6
Sunridge was a buzz of activity Easter weekend! First we paused to remember His sacrifice on Friday and then joyously celebrated His rising on Sunday!
Not only did we sing songs of praise and were encouraged by recognizing what He's done for us - we then got to celebrate with three of our family who chose to get baptized! A buzzing weekend indeed! :) Congrats Aly, Kali and Jaymin and thank you for letting us be a part of your special day.
A big thanks again to Trinity Church for lending us the Good Friday stations and thank you Sunshine LeisureScapes for the generous donation of a hot tub for the weekend. Some (no names), were wondering how we could arrange to keep it around! :)
We also got to put our partnership with Lakeside Church (they meet Sunday afternoons at Sunridge) into practise with Pastor Lance sharing some words and his daughter helping lead us in singing worship. Thanks guys and it's good to join with our extended family - we're in this together!
From the heartfelt prayer requests on friday to the ponchos for those in the front row sunday, it was a great weekend and one to remember! See you Sunday Sunridge!
This past Sunday was an amazing time! From enjoying a time of worship and teaching in a great outdoor setting to celebrating public declarations of faith by some of our family members through baptism. Follow that with chowing down on bbq and then playing together - definitely a day to remember!
In fact, we had so much fun, that we want to keep at it. So plan to stick around church after the upcoming Soup Sunday (June 30) and we're gonna play a little b-ball, perhaps some ultimate frisbee - who knows what other fun we'll get up to? :) Looking forward to it!
