DIVING IN

Kick-Off Sunday - DIVING IN

September 9, 2018

Ezekiel 47

Every great relationship starts at the beginning, and it then grows deeper from there, step by step. Same is true of our relationship with Jesus. We start at the beginning when we say YES for God’s forgiveness, and it then grows deeper from there, step by step. Today, we want to look at some of those steps – it’s time to get wet!

Series Description

When we stop and look at the world around us it is not hard to see that God’s ways and the ways of the culture are very different. So, as Christians, if making disciples is our mandate, why do we find this difficult to engage in? Could it be because some of us are afraid to? Maybe some of us are just apathetic; while others may lack confidence. My hope and my prayer is that we would push through these obstacles and become workers in the harvest. Join us for 10:02.

About The Artwork
The abstract looking graphic is meant to appear like a charged sky, jagged clouds all lit with a bright orange setting sun and heavy, rolling clouds carrying a storm. It is a great contrast of forces colliding immersing the “10:02” letters right into it. This fight is what we’re called to be right in the middle of, embracing the weather as we march out into the wind carrying the message of the Gospel.

10:02 Walk Humbly

September 2, 2018

We all want our lives to matter, to mean something. There is a significance we’re searching for. God tells us that an incredibly significant thing we can do is use our lives to point to Jesus. To do that may mean a shift in your life’s focus - from you to Him. How can a change like that happen?

10:02 Art of Neighbouring – Let's Do Coffee

August 26, 2018

Jesus has called us to engage the messiness of relationships. Real relationships are always messy, think about your family relationships. In order to take the Great Commandment seriously, we must love those who God has placed around us. It’s not always going to be pretty, but it is going to be significant.

10:02 Art of Neighbouring – What’s Your Hurry?

August 19, 2018

Martha is so busy that she misses out on what is most important. For those of us who struggle with busyness, our dilemma is bigger than a shortage of time...it’s a problem of priorities. We tend to let the urgent things crowd out the important things. Are we missing the main thing because we are busy with other good things?

10:02 Art of Neighbouring – What’s Their Name?

August 12, 2018

When we try to love everyone, we often end up loving no one. If we are not careful we can end up having metaphorical love for our metaphorical neighbours, and the end result is that we actually do nothing. Have we become inoculated to The Great Commandment?

10:02 Nahum: Comfort in the Judge

August 5, 2018

We often focus on the attributes of God we are most comfortable with: Love, Grace, Mercy. But what happens when we take a look at Judgement, Vengeance, Wrath? Will we find comfort there?

10:02 Comfort or Christian

July 29, 2018

Jonah 4

We will see that a pouting Jonah is more concerned about his plant that just died then a whole city of people that do not know God – God says, Should I not be concerned about that great city?”  Jonah, life is not about your comfort.

10:02 Be Available

July 22, 2018

Jonah 3

We will see that just as God gave Jonah a second chance and gave Nineveh a second chance, God is willing to give us a second chance as well.

10:02 Repentance Prayer

July 15, 2018

Jonah 2

We will see that Jonah can do nothing to get out of the fish because “Salvation comes from the Lord.”  That’s where salvation comes from.  It’s from God.  It’s not from you.  It’s not from your works.  It’s not from doing good things or not doing bad things.

10:02 Listening To God

July 8, 2018

Jonah 1

We will see that when God speaks to you, you have a choice: obey or disobey. When God speaks to you, you can always find a ship sailing the wrong direction.  If you do not obey, He may send a storm to grab your attention.
