Men’s Ministry: The Outdoors, BBQ & Campfire!

September 19 was the kickoff for the Men's Ministry! What a beautiful day. A group of us met and hiked Bourcharie Mountain to a lookout near the top. From there we saw a wide view of Westbank and Kelowna. As we looked down at Sunridge, the beautiful building we are blessed to use, we gathered together and prayed over this coming year: the members of Sunridge, the various groups and programs, the staff and leadership, for new people that will walk in for the first time. It was a shared moment before God of gratitude, excitement, and commitment to His plan for us.

After our hike we gathered at the Preston Residence for a BBQ and fire. Cooking was a group activity, and many hands made light work. Some gentlemen that couldn't make the hike came for the food and conversation later in the evening. As would be expected at any Sunridge event, the men lingered late into the evening and enjoyed deepening conversation as the hours passed.

It's going to be a great year. The Men's Ministry at Sunridge has many exciting things coming up. All men are welcome and encouraged to check out the Men's Ministry group for upcoming good-times!"
